How It Works!
Everyone sings twice, There are 12 singers per heat each person sings one song then we have a short break for the crowd to do some regular (non competition) karaoke then the 12 singers sing again,
The top 3 singers from each heat will be invited to perform again at the Final where the highest scorer takes the cash! There will be some runners up prizes too for the final!
The judges are picked for their professional capacity, one is music based (eg in an established band) one judge has a background in dance and one is either theatre based or a pub / venue manager, this way your performance is fairly judged on all the criteria necessary,
The 5 categories you’re judged on:
20 points for Singing ability.
10 points for appearance (not fancy dress but some effort in looking good for the stage)
10 points for movement, not dance routines but some sort of movement in the performance area
10 points for WOW factor, smiles eye contact and looking like you’re enjoying
10 points for crowd reaction, are they captivated by the solo and singing along with the chorus, have you captured the interest of the crowd.
Your crowd reaction score can be pushed up if you’ve brought loads of fans. To help with this we’ll send you a pack containing personalized invitations to hand out to friends and family to rally some support.
Each invite is also a prize draw slip so your guests can hand it in on the night and possibly win a prize for coming down!
